Hello and welcome to Laptop Fencing.
What's this all about? Since 1998 I've wanted to replace electronic fencing machines with laptops.
My first attempt (also in 1998) was a flop. But technology has marched on and I'm taking another shot at it.
What you'll find here will be a blog about my attempt to convert the existing electronic system into a laptop friendly system. I'll also do a few posts about my 1998 failure - mostly because it's funny.
If I succeed then there will be an ultra low cost (maybe $250) replacement for the current $1000 electric fencing system (laptop not included). I hope this will make fencing less expensive in general and bring more people into the sport.
